Hey Fam. Hope all is well with everyone. I jus wanted to stop by and see how yall are doing. I am trying with all my might to make it to this years Convocation 09. Is anyone from the group going? I hopse to see everyone at convocation. Jus pray for me. Having trouble finding a flight with only a few days aways. But GOD has it in control. I WIll (hopefully) be there from Thursday October 8th until Sunday October 11th late night.

For folks trying to meet and/or mingle its helpful to generally get more involved with your hobbies. It is hard to meet someone if all you do is work, drive home and stay in the house. Find a a social or civic organization that you like. You dont have to do bars and internet dateing. Sites like meetup.com (not a dateing site) can help you find a group of people in your area who are interested in similar things. This is not a dateing site so there's no pressure. You simply enter any random topic your interestedin and it lists groups in your area that fall under that category. Anything from comics, to politics, hikeing, gardening whatever. The bottom line... go out and do something you enjoy. Your bound to meet a good friend.

Hello family !! I am so excited about convocation, FORGIVENESS 2009 what a theme. i think it is time that we begin to forgive ourselves for all the shoulda, woulda, coulda's we inflict on self because of past relationships, know that everything happens for a reason !

Hello and God bless from a distance. I have been single for eleven years and I am not fulfilled being single. Despite how much self development I engage in, which is an integral part of my life single or not, as human beings we are group creatures and relational creatures, and I miss emotional intimacy and touch. However, I also do not seek interim remedies, and as such remain single until and if, I meet a mate for me. As I get older, and older, and as a first generation immigrant in a foreign land, I would cherish a committed life relationship, and cannot profess as others may, that I am happy being without a complementary companion. But I am happier than being with an unhealthy or not complementary companion. I hope I experience love and commitment before I leave this earth. and simultaneously accept it in humility and grace if I do not.
